boxes, lots of air pockets. and deputy fire chief john donnelly explained to me about what happened when there were 50 firefighters inside. >> they attempted to put the fire out from the inside. the conditions became very dangerous. we went to an exterior attack. at about 3:30 this morning, we were able to declare the fire under control. >> reporter: he did say for about 15 minutes there, things were a little tense. any time you have to call for an evacuation to pull firefighters out, you want to make sure everyone is accounted for. it means the situation has gotten very, very risky. too risky for firefighters to continue battling the fire from the inside. they came out, ran a few more hoses and then began battling it from the outside. as of 3:30 this morning, they said the fire was under control. we do not believe there was anyone inside at the time. but they do have the scene still shut down, contained but shut down because they want to wait until daylight to begin the rest of the investigation here. again, good news for what could have been a very, very difficult situation for firefig
